Our Story
Based in the south of France at the foothills of the Pyrenees, La Truitelle was founded in autumn 2020 to offer a sustainable alternative to the overfishing of wild fish. We produce high-quality canned organic trout, combining traditional craftsmanship with a strong commitment to social and environmental responsibility.
Our trout are raised on small, human-scale farms and carefully processed by hand in our Espéraza workshop. This work is carried out by individuals who have faced challenges in traditional employment, offering them new opportunities in a supportive environment.
We started with small organic fishes and later expanded to whole trout, all sourced exclusively from the Occitanie region. Our focus is on delivering products of exceptional quality—locally sourced, organic, and bursting with flavour.
